The WorldSkills ASEAN Competition, WSASEAN 2025 is the largest vocational education skills excellence event in the ASEAN region, showcasing global industry standards and promoting technical and vocational education and training, T-VET to an international level. Held from the 26th to 28th of August at the Republic of Philippines, the competition aims to inspire youth to continuously upgrade their skills, adapt to current technologies, and contribute to the nation's competitiveness in the face of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The Institute of Brunei Technical Education, IBTE, on 18th August morning held a Flag Handover Ceremony for the Brunei Darussalam contingent participating in the competition at IBTE Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus.

The national flag was handed over by Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, Ministry of Education. This year, Brunei Darussalam will be represented by participants from IBTE and Politeknik Brunei competing in 13 skill areas including Cybersecurity, Graphic Design Technology and Mechanical Engineering CAD.
